Another dual championship round this weekend as the MTA CAMS NSW Rally Championship holds its penultimate round for 2019 and the P3 Solutions CAMS Queensland Rally Championship has its third hit out.
A number of big names from around the country will make part of the enormous 49 crew field with Glenn Brinkman and Harvey Smith to headline the New South Wales based event.
Competitors will be taking on 110km of shire roads during the one-day blind rally with seven day and two night stages forming the event.
With the first car to head out at 8.30am local time, there are three spectator points throughout the event, while the fans can get up close and personal with crews at the Bonalbo Showground.
For the second time this year, Sandown will host the CAMS Victorian State Circuit Race Championship after a thrilling season opener in March.
Once again, all the staple categories will be in attendance for this weekend with more than 200 entries set to compete across the 11 categories.
Headlining the weekend will be the Improved Productions and Formula Vees, with each category having more than 35 cars on the field, while the 28-field Hyundai Excel series’ season is also heating up.
With the action-taking place between 9am and 4.30pm local on both Saturday and Sunday, fans can head to the iconic track from 7am onwards.
The third round of the CAMS Tasmanian Off Road Championship takes place this weekend at the picturesque Peron Sand Dunes on Tasmania’s east coast.
Throughout the one-day event, competitors will be taking on 200 competitive kilometres on the 4km sand course, with the event comprising of three 40 minutes heats plus an extra lap.
Last year saw Michael Donohoe lead the field from start to finish behind the wheel of his Evo Tech Pro Buggy in what was a faultless performance. Finishing behind him was Pro-Lite winner Chris Branch and Sportslite victor Andrew Giffard.
The first heat will get underway at 11am local time with the first car expected to cross the finish line around 2:45pm.
